Motorcyclist Killed In Ganderbal, Two Injured In Gund

Srinagar: A motorcyclist died in a road accident after being hit by a speeding vehicle in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, while two people sustained injuries in a road accident in the Gund area of Banihal on Wednesday.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that in one of the road mishap that took place at Darend Ganderbal, an unknown vehicle hit one bike bearing regd. No. JK15A/2908, resulting in the on-the-spot death of a bike rider who was identified as Manzoor Ahmad Kaloo, son of Gh Ahmad Kaloo of Nesbal Sumbal Bandipora.

The officer said in another road mishap a truck bearing reg no. RJ14GK 2741 came from Srinagar towards Jammu when it reached upper Gund near 159TA (G Coy). The driver lost control due to over speed and fell down into a deep gorge, resulting in two people being injured.

Both injured were identified as Rafiq Ahmed, son of Mohd Ramzan of Gujarat, and Mohd Sharif, son of Aslam Din of Rajasthan, by the officer.
