Sopore : To inspire the youth of Kashmir and get them close to mother nature, Mountain Warriors Trekking and Hikking club organised two days and one night snow trekking from Aru Pehalgam to Laderwath on 6th and 7th March.
The snow trekking was held in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Mountaineering and Hiking Club (JKMHC) and was supported by Mann te Salva Restaurant- a restuarant in north Kashmir’s Sopore.
The trek was flagged off from Mann te Salva Restaurant Noor bagh Sopore at 7:30 am.
The organizers said that the aim of snow trekking was to isnpire the young generation and get them close to mother nature and get rid of sedentary life style.
“The snow trekking was organized to inspire the youth so that they will travel, trek and show some care for nature. We want youth to explore and get rid of sedentary life. We believe that real therapy happens in nature,” the organizers of snow trekking said.
