In a major boost to J&K Peoples Conference in Srinagar district, scores of prominent youth activists from the NC and other parties joined the Peoples Conference today.
Those who joined the party include Engineer Kamran, Zonal Vice President Central Zone Kashmir Youth National Conference, Sheikh Mohsin, ex-Joint Secretary Youth National Conference, Mr. Aqib Bhat and Mr. Shahid Beigh among others.
Mohammad Khurshid Alam welcomed the new entrants into the party fold and impressed upon them to work tirelessly for the mitigation of sufferings of the people in their respective areas.
The joining of prominent youth activists indicates that youth have reposed faith and trust in vision and leadership of our President and the party. We are committed to empower the youth of J&K and include them in the decision-making process. We are convinced that youth will have to play a critical role in taking J&K out of the current impasse”, he said.
Speaking on the occasion Engineer Kamran said that they were inspired by the vision and leadership of PC President Sajad Gani Lone and the focus of the party on youth empowerment.
“A number of prominent leaders and youth joining the party demonstrates the rising popularity and widespread acceptance of the leadership & policies of the PC among the masses. We have no doubts that the Peoples Conference will emerge to become the strongest voice of the people of J&K, especially the youth. We will zealously work under the leadership of Mr. Sajad Lone for the welfare of our people”, Salman Bukhari said on the occasion.
Besides Mohammad Khurshid Alam, the joining ceremony took place in presence of Abid Ansari, Sheikh Imran, Mohammad Sulaiman Bhat, Youth General Secretary Mudasir Karim, Youth Coordinator Salman Bukhari among others.
