GANDERBAL, JUNE 28: In view of the ensuing Shri Amarnath ji Yatra (SANJY) 2025, a mock drill was today organized along Baltal axis under the supervision of Col. Nadeem Arshid (Retd), to test the disaster preparedness and improvise the response strategy where required.
During the mock drill, several scenarios including fire incidents, terrorist attacks, IED identification and neutralization, vehicular accidents and stampedes were simulated.
Col Nadeem Arshad on the occasion said that response strategies for these mock scenarios have been discussed threadbare and any gap areas identified have been addressed.
He said that the mock exercise has been very fruitful in ensuring that all stakeholders are well versed with their responsibilities. He said that the exercise has been instrumental in ensuring interdepartmental coordination.
