New political strategy needed to protect core interests of the state: Hakeem Yaseen

Jammu Feb 06 : Chairman Peoples Democratic Front ( PDF) Hakeem Yaseen on Thursday  said   that likeminded political parties should join hands to work out a new  political strategy  for securing safeguards  to the core interests of the  state.

In a statement issued , Hakeem  has said that there was an urgent need to revisit political landscape of the state to safeguard  it’s core interests adding that likeminded political parties should join hands to device a realistic political strategy for the purpose. 


He said statehood of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir needs to be restored as early as possible besides protection of it’s domicile rights. He said the people of the state should not be exploited on false promises like past adding that the prevailing grim situation in the state was the outcome of was broken promises and false assurances given to the people of the state right from 1947 too date by the successive Central and puppet state governments. He said need of the hour was to remove doubts from the minds of the people and instill a sense of trust among them. He said times have changed and people of the state understand that how they have been misled by the opportunistic political parties for thier petty vested interests.


He said onus lies on central leadership to rebuild trust among the people of the state through guarantee to their domicile rights and restoration of statehood status to the erstwhile state.. He said sentiments of the people of Kashmir have been severely hurt by downgrading the status of their motherland to a Union Territory.
