Srinagar, Aug 31: A group of newly inducted Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers on Monday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Lok Bhavan in Srinagar and received his best wishes for their new assignments.
During the meeting, the officers expressed their gratitude to the Government of India and the Jammu and Kashmir administration for their induction into the premier civil service.
Lieutenant Governor Sinha congratulated the newly inducted officers and wished them success in their future responsibilities.
He encouraged the officers to discharge their duties with dedication and work towards improving public service delivery and addressing the developmental needs of the people.
The meeting comes after 23 Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers were recently cleared for induction into the Indian Administrative Service under the promotion quota. The Centre had approved their induction into the AGMUT cadre of the IAS.
The induction marks an important career milestone for the officers, who will now serve in the IAS cadre and take on greater administrative responsibilities in Jammu and Kashmir and elsewhere in the AGMUT cadre.
