Newly recruited JeM militant apprehended during CASO in Shopian

Srinagar, March 19 : A newly recruited militant of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant was apprehended by government forces in Shopian village of south Kashmir on Thursday evening.

Reports reaching said that a joint team of army’s 44 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at village Marheng Keegam.

“During the operation, one militant namely Junaid Ahmad Sheikh son of Mohd Abdullah of Arihal, Pulwama was arrested by the joint team,” they said.

Confirming it, a police officer said that the militant had joined the JeM outfit recently and his picture wielding a gun had also gone viral which is being investigated, the officer said. (GNS)
