JAMMU, January 28: The recent news report carried by a section of media titled “Altaf Bukhari led group likely to announce launch of new Political Party” is completely baseless.
“It is a figment of imagination. This news seems to have been floated with a single minded agenda to mislead and confuse,” said a spokesman of former finance minster Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, in rebuttal to the above news item that was carried by some news portals and TV channels.
The spokesman has added: “As already briefed to media, a significant number of like-minded friends and political colleagues are in touch with each other and in that context we often convene informal meetings. These meetings are aimed at reviewing the emerging political situation and should not be misconstrued with formation of any political party at this juncture.”
