Sopore, August 16: Sopore police on Sunday termed news regarding an attack on sarpanch in Dangerpora a fake and baseless.
In a statement issued to Kashmir, Despatch Police said fake news is being circulated on social media regarding an attack on sarpanch at Dangerpora in Sopore, Sopore police calling it absolutely baseless and untrue.
The statement reads actually militants hiding in orchards of Warpora -Malmapanpora fired upon a joint party of security forces who were conducting search of orchards – CASO is at progress with additional reinforcement.
