No de-radicalisation camps in J&K: Govt

Srinagar, Feb 11 There are no reports of existence of any de-radicalisation camps in the country, especially Jammu and Kashmir, Minister of State for Home G. Krishan Reddy told Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

Earlier supporting the idea of de-radicalisation centres in Kashmir, as suggested by Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, J&K Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh said such a move was welcome.Singh had said experts and civil society members must join hands to counter radicalisation.

Last month, speaking at the Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi, General Rawat had sparked a controversy by speaking about setting up de-radicalisation camps.
