SRINAGAR, Dec 15: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (J&K BOSE) has vehemently refuted recent reports of non-issuance of examination forms, dismissing them as fabricated and baseless.
An official from the JK Board of School Education, speaking to Kashmir Despatch, categorically denied the claims of non-issuance of examination forms, labeling the reports as fabricated and baseless.
In response to allegations made by certain local newspapers, the official clarified that the board does not support bias or conspiracy against any institution.
The official emphasized that the board acts as a facilitator and support system for academic institutions and does not endorse misleading information. The aim of this clarification is to ensure adherence to norms and factual records.
According to the official, academic institutions must adhere to the guidelines and norms set by the J&K BOSE and the Government School Education Department. Failure to submit the required documents cannot be overlooked, and claims based on non-compliance are considered invalid.
The official highlighted that the J&K BOSE prioritizes the interests of students and is committed to facilitating them. The board operates within the framework of rules and guidelines established by the government, ensuring the rights of students to pursue their educational goals are not compromised.
He emphasized that the board is aware of student needs and is dedicated to providing necessary facilities. The official cited relevant sections of the School Education Act of 2002 and subsequent rules and amendments governing the establishment and functioning of private academic institutions.
The official reiterated that the J&K BOSE does not deny any institution the right to provide mandatory education. The board is committed to safeguarding the academic interests of enrolled students and ensuring their participation in public examinations. The process is currently underway, and students from three schools have already benefited, with others soon to follow.
The official strongly refuted the allegations against the JK BOSE, considering them unfounded. The board remains committed to transparent and accountable processes, working in the best interests of students and the academic community.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education, Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, also expressed a strong commitment to ensuring that no student misses their exams.
He stated that no late fees would be charged for any student. Addressing the issue of schools established on state land, he further emphasized the importance of adherence to norms and guidelines. Some schools, he noted, are turning the registration process into a contentious matter.
Prof. Manhas expressed regret that certain politicians are providing misleading information. “The board is committed to ensuring that every student can take their exams without any hindrance,” he added.
