Srinagar Jan 10: Commuters of North Kashmir areas who used to reach Srinagar daily, are facing immense hardships during late hours to reach Parimpora bus stand. They have appealed authorities to start SRTC bus service from city center to Parimpora so that commuters will get a sigh of relief.
According to news agency, several commuters of North Kashmir areas including Bandipora, Sumbal, Hajin, Baramullah, Pattan, Sopore, Handwara, Kupwara and others have complained that they are facing lot of inconvenience during their return to their homesin late hours of the day.
They have said that authorities have barred public transport entry to Batamaloo before two years back and accorded Parimpora Bus Stand to all cabs and busses which used to ferry passengers towards North Kashmir areas.
They said during morning hours, passengers howevermanage to reach LalChowk and other areas but during late hours of the day it causes lot of hardships to reach Parimpora to board on vehicle.
They alleged that authorities played step-mothers role with North Kashmir commuters and isolated them from city center. “If passengers belong to Southern Parts can easily board vehicles of their respective areas in city centerLalChowk, why commuters of North Kashmir have been deprived from this facility? they questioned?
They appealed authorities to at least ensure SRTC bus service to the commuters of North Kashmir areas from city center to Parimpora bus stand. (JKNS)
