Srinagar, July 06: Things have drastically changed in the last one month in northern region of Kashmir as frequent incidents of attacks on humans by leopards had triggered huge panic and unrest among the local residents.
The latest incident took place on Wednesday in Rajwar village of Handwara, when a two-four-old was mauled to death by a man-eater leopard.
The minor was playing outside his home when a man-eating wild animal attacked him and dragged him for about half a kilometre towards the forest.
The deceased has been identified as Mehraz Azad Mir, son of Azad Ahmad Mir, resident of Rajpora Rajwar.
Pertinently, Three children were killed by a leopard in Uri area of Baramulla district in last month.
