SRINAGAR, Oct 3: Army Commander Northern Command, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, on Saturday chaired a comprehensive security review and coordination meeting in Srinagar to assess the prevailing security situation, operational preparedness and coordination among various security agencies.
The meeting reviewed the overall security environment and examined measures aimed at further strengthening operational readiness and response mechanisms.
Lt Gen Sharma stressed the importance of enhanced inter-agency coordination, real-time sharing of intelligence and closer operational synergy among the forces and agencies involved in maintaining security.
He also emphasised the need for integrated coordination to facilitate swift responses to emerging security challenges and improve the effectiveness of joint operations.
Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat and Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Sujit Kumar, were among the senior officers who attended the meeting. Senior representatives of other security agencies were also present.
The meeting also focused on maintaining close coordination among the participating agencies and ensuring preparedness to respond effectively to evolving security requirements across the region.
