Noted social activist and prominent businessman Farooq Ahmed Mir joins PC

Noted social activist and prominent businessman from Sonwar, Farooq Ahmed Mir today joined the J&K Peoples Conference in presence of PC President Sajad Gani Lone.

PC senior VP Abdul Gani Vakil, senior leaders Abid Ansari, Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Mohammad Abbas Wani, President Youth PC, Sheikh Imran, GS Mudasir Karim were also present on the the occasion.

Welcoming Farooq Ahmed Mir into the party fold, People’s Conference President Sajad Gani Lone said that it is inspiring and encouraging to see people from all walks of life joining the PC with a resolve to strengthen it on ground and make it a viable political alternative and a force to reckon with. He said that PC’s popularity amongst the masses could be gauged by the fact that new and experienced people are entering into the party fold with a hope to see Jammu and Kashmir a place free from uncertainty, violence and mis-governance.

“I whole-heartedly welcome Farooq Sahib into the PC. Farooq sahib’s presence will immensely strengthen and benefit the PC in Srinagar, especially Sonwar. The Peoples Conference wants to play a pivotal role and contribute to the politics and welfare of J&K. I am hopeful that all of us will continue to work for the cause of people and further strengthen the party at the grassroots level”, PC President said on the occasion.

While speaking on the occasion, Farooq Ahmed Mir expressed his pleasure on becoming a part of the PC and getting an opportunity to work under the  leadership of PC President Sajad Gani Lone.

“I am inspired by Sajad sahibs sincerity of thought and vision for the people of J&K. I will work with utmost honesty, diligence and passion to strengthen the party”, he added.
