SRINAGAR, June 30: A 27-year-old youth consumed some poisonous substance in an attempt to commit suicide in north Kashmir’s Sopore town on Tuesday.
This is second suicide attempt reported in Sopore town since last 24 hours. Earlier on Monday, a young girl in her 20’s attempted to commit suicide by injuring herself with knife.
The latest incident reported at Warpora village of Sopore town where a 27-year-old youth (name withheld) consumed some poisonous substance at his home.However, he was rushed to a nearby hospital, from where he was referred to sub-district hospital Sopore for further treatment.
Meanwhile, a police officer told news agency that a case has been registered and investigation set in motion. He said, “We are making all efforts to prevent people from attempting suicide.”(KINS)
