Poonch June 01: Now Army claimed to have killed ten more militants after infiltration bid was foiled along line of control (LOC) in Mendhar sector of Rajouri district.
An army official told Kashmir Despatch that in an ongoing counter-infiltration operation which started on 28th may, alert troops of Indian Army eliminated an infiltration bid along the LoC now in Mendhar sector and killed atleast ten militants. The officer said searches are underway in the villages of Poonch district.
Earleir this day army in a statement said,in an ongoing counter-infiltration operation since 28 May 2020, alert troops of Indian Army eliminated an infiltration bid along the LoC in Naushera Sector, three heavily armed Pakistan trained militants have been killed.
Sources in defense also confirmed about the killing of militants and said huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered from the militants killed in Nowhshera sector of Rajouri District. they said searches are underway in both sectors.
With the killing of these ten militants the total toll rose to 13 in a day.
