Ganderbal, August 10: Following an attack on a BJP leader in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, one more party worker announced his resignation from party membership on Monday.
BJP worker Abdul Hamid Najar, a resident of Mohiendpora village, was shot at and critically injured by militants in the district. Najar, the president of Badgam BJP OBC Morcha, was on a morning walk when the militants fired at him near the railway station, however, after being hospitalized for night Najar succumbed to his injuries today morning.
The attack has created a fear among BJP workers, Panches and Sarpanches in the valley. After the attack, several BJP workers had announced their dissociation with the party.
At least four workers of the BJP Sunday resigned from the party in Budgam. They also sought forgiveness from the people.
Sources told Kashmir Despatch that another BJP worker Abdul Aziz Chichi son of Abdullah Chichi of Setrina Kangan announced to quit the party today morning.
In a letter, Chichi announced to disassociate himself from the saffron party.

Meanwhile, Bhartiya Janata Party JK spokesman Altaf Thakur termed the killing of Hameed as inhuman and barbaric urged police to nab the killers and work out a security plan for the BJP leaders and workers as suggested by the BJP top leaders.
