JAMMU, Oct 4 : Union Home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said the situation after the Abrogation of Article 370 is quite peaceful and nobody dares to extend calls for hartal or enforce it in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a gathering at Jammu , Amit Shah said the result of the new dawn in Jammu and Kashmir is visible on ground as there is no hartal or call for any kind of violence.

While praising the Jammu and Kashmir Police for its dedication and hardwork in making the environment peaceful especially when it comes to encounters, he said now police gives a chance to the militants to surrender but in case of refusal, they are compelled to retaliate and neutralize the terrorists.

He said Kashmir is moving towards a new era of peace and development. He said the place which earlier used to suffer for want of electricity, is now getting 24×7 electricity.
