Festive ceremony brings together personalities from finance, cinema and social organisations

MUMBAI, Nov 8: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) celebrated the festive spirit of Diwali with traditional fervour and enthusiasm, hosting its customary Lakshmi Pujan and ceremonial bell-ringing ceremony on the auspicious occasion of Muhurat Trading.
The special occasion brought together prominent personalities from the worlds of finance, cinema, filmmaking and social organisations, reflecting the cultural significance of Diwali and its enduring association with prosperity, optimism and new beginnings.
NSE Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Shri Ashishkumar Chauhan led the celebrations, joined by renowned actors Smt. Poonam Dhillon, Smt. Padmini Kolhapure and Smt. Sheeba Agarwal. Filmmaker Shri Bharatbala, Shri Ram Lal, All India Outreach Head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and Swami Vigyananda ji, Founder of the World Hindu Congress and World Hindu Economic Forum, were also present on the occasion.
The gathering participated in the traditional Lakshmi Pujan, an integral part of Diwali celebrations, seeking blessings for prosperity, financial well-being and success. The ceremonial bell ringing marked the commencement of the auspicious Muhurat Trading session, a special trading window observed by India’s stock market during Diwali.
