Srinagar, April 08 : Auqaf-e-Islami Baramulla in northern region of Kashmir urged people to offer Shab-e-Barat congregation at home while keeping an eye on rapid growth of Covid-19 scare across the valley.
In an Audio message Mufti Aijaz Ahmad Iman of Baitul-Muqaram Baramulla appealed general public to avoid gatherings in masjids during Shab-e-Barat and instead remain busy in Tawba and Tilawat in their homes keeping in a view of COVID-19 threat. He also urged people to avoid vist to graveyards for Dua-e-Mahfirat to their departed souls and said better to stay home and make Duas from home for their departed loved ones and to safeguard yourself and your families too.
Earlier, The Srinagar administration imposed a ban on holding any religious congregation in the district on the occasion of Shab-e-Baraat (night of blessings) in the wake of pandemic outbreak-COVID-19.
In a tweet, Srinagar district administration said In view of the prevailing health situation because of the COVID-19 outbreak the DM has issued an order prohibiting all sorts of a religious congregation and public movement on the occasion of Shab-e-Bharat in Srinagar.
