Omar Abdullah should answer about killings, loot in his tenure instead of talking of China: Sunil Sharma

Date:

Srinagar November 01: BJP senior leader and spokesperson, Sunil Sharma on Tuesday criticised former chief minister J&K Omar Abdullah on his remarks on China and said, “Omar Abdullah should answer the killings and loot he did in his regime, instead of dictating terms on China to New Delhi”.

The BJP spokesperson Sunil Sharma, said Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti are trying to issue such statements that bring them into the limelight as the duo knew their existence on the ground is completely rooted out.

“The existence of NC and PDP is nowhere today. They are completed rooted out and people of J&K have rejected both”, he said.

“Our forces gave a befitting reply to China in Ladakh and pushed them back to their territory. The contribution of our forces is not concealed from anyone. The countrymen have proud of our forces who guarded our nation against evil eyes”, the BJP spokesperson Sunil Sharma said.

Notably, former chief minister Omar Abdullah on Monday lashed out at the government for causing disruptions in his two-day Dras visit. “Instead of thundering on China over their illegal intrusion in Galwan valley, the authorities have put obstacles on my visit”, he had said.

The BJP spokesperson held that Omar Abdullah should talk of Kashmir but people have rejected this double-speak leader. “People of J&K want to know why scores of youth got killed in his regime and why resources of UT were plundered by NC”, he said.

“The NC leader should give an appropriate answer to people without any delay tactic”, he said.

About statehood, Sharma said the Ministry of Home Affairs on the floor of Parliament had assured the people of J&K that statehood would be restored at an appropriate time. “The statehood to JK will be returned back once the situation gets normal”, he added.

He claimed BJP is sincere in fulfilling promises made to the people. “BJP made a promise of abrogating Article 370 over many decades and finally it was done. Similarly, statehood promise will also be restored at an appropriate time”, he maintained.

To a query, the BJP leader said there is no room for Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir. “There is no space for any third-party intervention. India is enough capable to deal with the crisis itself”, he said and added, “If Pakistan is willing for friendship with India, it will be welcomed”.

Earlier the BJP leader paid tributes to Veer Balidani Anil Parihar Ji and Ajeet Parihar Ji at Party Head Office in Srinagar on their death anniversaries.
