SRINAGAR, Dec 3: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee President Vikar Rasool Wani on Saturday termed Padma Bhushan award, the third-highest civilian award in India, as a “Choti Baat.”
As per the Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, the JKPCC president was referring to Ghulam Nabi Azad during a rally.
The Pradesh Congress chief said Azad betrayed Congress and whatever he achieved in his life was all because of this party.
He stated that from union minister to general secretary of Congress, everything Azad attained was in the Congress alone, but after receiving Padma Bhushan, a “Chota Award,” he forgot his base.
Pertinently, Former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and renowned Sanskrit scholar Prof Vishwamurti Shastri among three persons from Jammu Kashmir and two from Ladakh Union Territory was selected for Padma Awards for the year 2022.
