SRINAGAR, July 30: Pakistan authorities on Thursday repatriated a resident of Kupwara district who has crossed over to Pakistan administered Kashmir.

Sources told Kashmir Despatch that during a flag meeting today, at around 11:30 am, Rayees Ahmad son of Mohammad Yaqoob a resident of Sudpora Kupwara was handed over to Indian authorities on LoC in Teetwal area of Kupwara district.

Officers from both the sides of LoC took part in the flag meeting and exchanged the Kupwara youth whose crossing over LoC is being presently investigated by the concerned police.    

SSP Kupwara, Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar, while talking to Kashmir Despatch said that the matter is under investigation. “It is still unknown how he crossed over the LoC. Was it unintentional crossing over or by a deliberate move, police will probe it through all angles,” he added.
