
“Militants targeting minority group is an unfortunate act for the people of Kashmir”

Baramulla : Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) patron Muzaffar Hussain Baig on Tuesday said that Pakistan is not a solution for Kashmir cause.
According to Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, Baig while addressing his first political rally in north Kashmir’s Wagoora village after the Abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir said that Pakistan was never a solution to Kashmir.
Baig praised former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan. While terming him an honest, he said that those who have no public support and are involved in corruption assembled together and put him down. Such is the state of affairs in Pakistan, how can people here expect any good from them?
He said Pakistan is not a solution for Kashmir because people here want to live a peaceful life. Baig also prayed for peace in both nations.
Reacting on the recent attacks on minorities, the former minister said that militancy is not new in Kashmir and the militant killings since decades took place here but since this year the target killings on minorities is an unfortunate act for the people of Kashmir.
He said those behind such attacks whether they are working on the instructions of Pakistan, any other agencies or any political group are completely inhuman.
Answering the question of contesting upcoming elections Baig said that will decide once meeting with the people and workers. Until then he can’t say anything.
