Sameer while Visited Several Gujjar areas of Bandipora Constituency, said that PDP has always used Gujjars as its vote bank and audience for its public meetings and did nothing concrete in return for their social and educational uplift. Sameer said that NC is committed to work for their welfare.

He said the Gujjars are an important section of the society but, unfortunately, the benefits of development have not reached them, as the previous dispensation has never allowed it to happen. He said the Gujjars are being ignored and discriminated in every sphere.

Sameer said that Previous Coalition Government has miserably failed to mitigate the sufferings of Gujjars and Bakerwals and instead using them for petty vote bank politics. He said that Previous Coalition Government led by PDP is depriving the Gujjar Bakerwals of their basic rights, as the funds for the development of the communities stands unutilized with result the developmental schemes for the community have suffered immensely. He made it clear that previous dispensation had done nothing for their upliftment, with funds released under Schedule tribe and caste looted rather than used for development of Gujjar Community.
