PDP holds meeting of its central Kashmir leadership

Participants resolve to make coordinated efforts in rejuvenating party on ground

Srinagar, Jun 20 : A high level meeting of the central Kashmir’s leadership of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday was held at the party head office here and was presided over by vice President Abdul Rahman Veeri.

The meeting emphasised on the need to rejuvenate the party and strengthen it further so that it could once again emerge victorious.

The meeting also resolved that the party leadership, functionaries, activists and supporters will work in close coordination and will make sustainable efforts in party’s overall growth and impressive performance in the coming assembly elections. The participants of the meeting expressed full confidence in the leadership of the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, resolving in unison to support her each and every endeavour aimed at getting the people out of the cycle of uncertainty and lead the state towards a prosperous future.

The meeting also expressed concern as major central government funded developmental projects under CRF and PMGSY are pending due to non availability of funds for land acquisition and shifting of utilities. Veeri urged the government to make the funds available on priority for the said purpose.

Besides Veeri who presided over the meeting, Ghulam Nahi Lone Hanjura, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Mohammad Khurshid Alam, Asiya Naqash, Anjum Fazili, Abdul Hameed Kosheen, Nazir Ahmad Khan, Muntazir Mohi-ud-din, Bashir Ahmad Mir and several others spoke on the occasion. (KNS)
