People in Ganderbal carry 60-year-old patient on shoulders to hospital

Ganderbal: A 60-year-old female patient on Wednesday carried by the people on their shoulders amid non-availability of medical help in Ganderbal district.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said, authorities had failed to clear the snow following which locals in Ganderbal district had to carry patients on their own.

“Zewar Jaan, a 60-year-old woman, resident of Anderwan Dardpora suffered health emergency, while there was no medical help, the locals came to rescue and carried her on their shoulder”, said a local Kaisar Ahmad.

He added, “The patient carried by 10 people on their shoulder to Primary Health Care centre in Manigam PHC Ganderbal”.Meanwhile, locals have urged authorities to clear the road so that patients can reach out to hospitals.
