People in medgar demand action against over pricing

Poonch, May 21: The authorities at Mehdar of Jammu Division have warned the shopkeepers who resort to over pricing amid the lockdown and indulge not unlawful activities that are not allowed.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that excise department have learnt that the licensed hotels, bars, restaurants and Liquor outlets were warned of strict action for indulging into unlawful activities like the sale of products like, cloths, jewelry, mobile phones and many other items.

The department had informed that strict action inducing the licences will be cancelled and will be blacklisted for restoring to black-marketing.

Police officials told this newspaper that after the nation wide lockdown our teams have successfully managed to enforce the ristirctions and ensured that no illegal trnalostaion of alcohol and other martial is done amid the curbs.

Officials from excise department disclosed that several business units found indulged in illegal activites were sealed and cases were registered against them for violating the norms.
