Seeks support to BJP candidate for DDC elections during Tonga Rally in Sopore

Sopore, Dec 02 : Bharatiya Janata Party State
General Secretary and Incharge Kashmir, Vibodh Gupta on Wednesday said that people of Valley want peace and high percentage of voting during District Development Council is an vivid example of that.

Addressing a Tonga Rally in Sopore Vibodh said, “Yesterday in one of the constituency in Sopore more than 18 percent votes were casted during DDC elections, whereas it is the same area which once used to be the hub of militancy in Valley”.

He added, “In Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s hometown, casting of 18 percent votes means that people of Valley want peace development and brotherhood”.

“The vision of people of Jammu and Kashmir expanded after abrogation of Article 370. They started realizing things. Militancy is declining, stone pelting has come to an end and that is the reason why people came in large numbers to vote and that is the message we wanted to convey today through this Tonga Rally in Sopore”, he added.

Addressing the rally he said that we want to tell everyone including Pakistan, Hurriyat and Gupkar Gang that don’t spoil Kashmir. Kashmir is a heaven on earth and you have spoiled everything here in Kashmir.

“The apples from Sopore fruit Mandi which could have been exported to London and rest of the world but this bussiness got declines due to militancy. We (BJP) promise to people of valley including Sopore and Srinagar that we are with you. Let people of Sopore know that we will put Sopore Mandi on an international level”, he added.

“Also I want to urge residents of Sopore to vote in favor of BJP candidate during DDC elections so that saffron party blooms here”, he added.
