Petrol bomb lobbed at BDC Boniyar’s residence, Police veryfing

Uri, Oct 19 : Unknown persons on Monday evening hurled a petrol bomb towards the residence of Block Development Chairman (BDC) Bilal Ahmad in Boniyar area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Official sources told Kashmir Despatch that the unknown persons hurled the petrol bomb on the BDC’s residence and fled from the spot.

The bomb exploded inside the premises, however, in the incident there was no damage or injury reported, they said.

BDC Chairman Boniyar Bilal Ahmad talking with Kashmir Despatch over the phone said his neighbour is behind the attack. He said timely action of police saved his family.

Meanwhile, a police officer told Kashmir Despatch that investigation has been initiated in this incident.
