Baramulla, November 14 For the Phase Ist of Panchayat by-elections, as many as 448 nomination papers comprising 53 Sarpanch and 395 Panch nominations were received in Baramulla district. These nominations were received from Kandi, Rafiabad, Tangmarg, Khaipora, Chandilwanigam and Wailoo blocks on the last date of filing nomination papers.
After scrutiny, 04 Panch forms were rejected thereby leaving 391 panch nominations. However, all the nominations received for Sarpanch seats were found correct and none of the nominations were rejected.
It is worth here to mention that last date for withdrawal of nominations has been fixed as 16 November 2020.
