Ridicules Mehbooba Mufti for her SK Park remarks

URI-BARAMULLA, Nov 28: Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday said that Plebiscite, Autonomy and Self Rule have nothing to do with the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
In his public address at Uri, Bukhari said: “If these issues had any correlation with the assembly polls in J&K, then the political parties who would raise these slogans should have ensured finality of Article 370 in Indian constitution by the power of their majority in the erstwhile State Assembly.”
Referring to the Autonomy resolution passed by the National Conference, Bukhari said that NC led a government with two thirds majority in 1996 but what happened to its Autonomy resolution that was junked by the central government despite the resolution having been passed with a thumping majority in the erstwhile State assembly.
He said that all such political moves have been a fraud played on the people of J&K by the traditional political parties in J&K. “Now, Mehbooba Mufti claims that she will get everything back to J&K that too with an interest. You (traditional parties) gave everything to the Union government on a platter. You have been instrumental in eroding the special status of J&K.”
He said: “Be it Sheikh Abdullah, Farooq Abdullah, Mufti Sayeed or congress leadership; all of them have played a pivotal role in erosion of Autonomy of J&K. They have always ruled the people of J&K through politics of deceit and treachery.”
Bukhari said that the decision of J&K has taken place in 1947 when the then leadership chose to accede with the dominion of India. “Now these parties are befooling the people of J&K just for the sake of their lust for power.”
He said that Apni Party has emerged to practice the politics of truthfulness and it will never shy away from telling the truth to the people. “I think this is the reason behind the popularity of Apni Party because we believe that we should always side with the truth, howsoever, bitter it may be.”
