Calls for accountability amid ongoing conflict

Srinagar, October 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was among the first global leaders to denounce the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel as a terror assault, has now expressed his strong condemnation for the strike on a Gaza hospital that occurred on Tuesday, resulting in the tragic loss of over 500 lives.

In a social media post, PM Modi conveyed his deep shock at the casualties caused by the attack and extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.

Amid the ongoing dispute between Israel and Palestine regarding the responsibility for the hospital strike, PM Modi has raised concerns over civilian casualties during the conflict and called for accountability for those involved in the attack.

He stated, “I am deeply shocked by the tragic loss of lives at the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza. Our sincere condolences go out to the families of the victims, and we offer our prayers for the swift recovery of the injured. The civilian casualties in the ongoing conflict are a matter of grave and persistent concern. Those responsible for these incidents should be held accountable.”
