‘P’Ms Leh visit’, Defence minister Rajnath Singh thanks PM for visit

Srinagar, July 3: With the Prime Minister visited Leh, Ladakh, on Friday morning to review the on-ground security situation amid the border standoff with China and the progress in talks with the Chinese military, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making a visit to Ladakh.

According to news agency Defence minister in his twitter message said that that the borders of the country have always been secure under the Indian Army.

“The borders of the country have always been secure under the Indian Army. Prime Minister Narendra Modi going ladakh and meeting the army soldiers and encouraging them has definitely boosted the morale of the army and I thank the Prime Minister for the move,” Defence minister tweeted.

Meanwhile, the Home Minister in his tweet said, “Prime Minister Shri@ Narendra Modi Ji with our brave and courageous personnel of the army, Air force & ITBP at a forward location in Ladakh. The visit of the honorable PM will surely boost the morale of our valorous soldiers# ModiInLeh.

PM was given a joint briefing by the Army, Air Force and the ITBP at one of the forward locations in Nimu Ladakah. Modi is accompanied by Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General MM Naravane for the unannounced visit.

The Ladakh union territory has been at the center of the standoff with China’s People’s Liberation Army troops since early May.(KINS)
