Sopore, Feb 23 : Yet again police in north Kashmir’s Sopore win hearts of people by arresting a half dozen youth who were involved in supplying illegal drugs in parts of the town.
An official told Kashmir Despatch, In a fresh attempt police team headed by station house officer Sopore Azim Iqbal were succeed in arresting six more persons mostly youth who were not only involved in illegal activities but were supplying drugs to the youth of Sopore.
The officer identified them as Umar Farooq Sheikh son of Farooq Ahmad Shiekh of Seelo with FIR number 36/2021 U/S NDPS Act.
Mohammad Rafeeq Ganie son of Ghulam Ahmad Ganie of Dangerpora, FIR number 41/2021 U/S 8/22, NDPS Act.
Shiekh Muzaffar Qadir son of Ghulam Qadir Shiekh of Seloo, Abdul Rashid Shiekh son of Abdul Aziz Shiekh of Seelo , Muhammad Asif Naikoo son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Naikoo of Seelo and Ishfaq Ahmad Khaja son of Ghulam Hassan Khaja of Seelo all were arrested on FIR number 43/2021, U/S 8/22, 29 NDPS Act.
Rameez Hassan Mir son of Ghulam Hassan Mir of Changa Mohalla Arampora , FIR number 45/2021 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act.
Basit Hassan Mir son of Ghulam Hassan Mir of Changa Mohalla Arampora FIR number 45/2021 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act.
Meanwhile this action of police again win hearts of people in town.
Talking with this reporter group of people said that such steps are appreciable and are need of an hour.
They however, appealed police to book then under PSA sothat a message will be spread among other youth who are involved in such activities, they also appealed parents to take care their children and monitor their each and every activity.
