Police files Chargesheet against 4 militants, 03 associates in Handwara

Handwara, Sep 29 : Handwara Police on Tuesday submitted the Charge sheet in respect of case FIR No 104/2020 of Police Station Handwara.
The FIR pertains to the incident dated 03 April 2020 When Handwara Police along with 21 RR, 92 CRPF arrested 04 militants and 03 militants Associates of Let outfit.
After conclusion of investigation the Chargesheet has been filed before the Competent Court by Handwara Police U/s 13,18,20,23,38 UA(P) Act ; 7/25 Indian Arms Act,and substantive offences thereof subsequent to obtaining necessary Government sanction for prosecution under UA(P)Act.
The Chargesheet has been filed against *04 militants namely Parvaiz Ahmad Chopan S/o Ab Rashid Chopan R/o Shartpora Langate, Mudasir Ahmad Pandith S/o Ab Rehman Pandith R/o Zargar mohalla Langate,Mohd Shafi Shiekh S/o Mohd Ahsan Shiekh R/o Langate.
Burhan Din Wani@ Burhan S/o Mushtaq Ahmad Wani R/o Tulwari Langate and three militant associates of proscribed terrorist organization LeT namely, Azad Ahmad Bhat S/o Ab Razaq Bhat R/o Shalpora Langate, Altaf Ahmad Baba S/o Salam Din Baba R/o Babagund Seelo Rafiabad, Irshad Ahmad Chalkoo S/o Said-ud-din Chalkoo R/o Silikoot Uri for their role in hatching Criminal Conspiracy for the militant act, Harbouring terrorists and giving Support to the proscribed militant Organisation.
