38 drug peddlers arrested, 3 booked under PSA during this year sofar : Police

Sopore : The Sopore police is on a mission to eradicate the drug menace in the police subdivision Sopore with several officers working day and night trying to break the network of drug smugglers.
Sopore has seen tremendous changes in quite a few years as far as policing is concerned as the topmost priority of the police in Sopore sub-district is controlling the drug menace.
One such officer is Station House Officer Sopore Khalid Fayaz, who is tackling the law and order situation in the volatile area of north Kashmir but his top most priority is to eradicate drug menace in the subdivision.
SHO Khalid talking with Kashmir Despatch said that efforts are in place for a new and Drug Free Sopore.
“This year so far 38 persons found involved in drugs were arrested. 3 drug peddlers have been booked under PSA while as 20 others cases have been recommended and sent for approval,” the officer said.
Locals have hailed the efforts of SHO Sopore Khalid Fayaz who is on a mission to eradicate the drug menace in Sopore.
