Police rescues abducted girl in Baramulla from a driver

Baramulla, 12 August: The Jammu and Kashmir police’s timely action saved a girl from being kidnapped in Baramulla.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that alert police rescued a girl in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday after she was kidnapped by a Sumo driver who has been identified as Irshad Ahmad Hajam of Putkha.

Officer said that police found a girl crying in a vehicle, which as per officer was moving in a high speed, while police continued chasing him and rescued the girl near Chinad area.

The officer said the driver was alos arrested from the area.

In this regard a case FIR number 126/363 has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.
