Police solves theft case in Ananthnag

Ananthnag, Sep 26: Police in South Kashmir’s Ananthnag district on Saturday claimed to have solved a theft case and have arrested the accused involved in the crime.

In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch police said one accused has been arrested who were behind the crime, police said on
Thursday in the presence of Dysp Mohd Rafiq Rather caught a theif in achabal within hour’s.

The theif was caught with Two lakh twenty thousand rupees which he stole from a car by smashing the side window of the car.

During questioning, officers learnt about their involvement in the commission of crime and on their disclosure stolen Hard Cash was recovered from their possession.

Further investigation is in progress and Fir have been lodged under section 76/2020.
