Srinagar: The Jammun and Kashmir Police on Monday traced abducted girl within 6 hours and arrested the accused.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch police said, Police Station Khanyar recieved a written complaint from one Showket Ahmad Mir S/o Mohd Maqbool R/o Bagi Roop Singh that his Niece (name with-held) aged 13Years has been kidnapped by one Talib Ahmad Guroo
S/o Showket Ahmad R/o Buddu Bagh Khanyar Srinagar.
On this information case FIR No. 37/2020 U/S 363 IPC was registered and investigation set into motion. The investigating team led by SHO Khanyar under the supervision of SDPO Khanyar, acted swiftly by utilizing human and technological resources succeeded in ascertaining the location of the accused and then arrested the accused and also recovered the abducted girl from the possession of accused within 6 hrs. The victim girl has been handed over to legal heirs after conducting all legal formalities.
The swift action of Police was hailed by the people who expressed their satisfaction the way Srinagar Police handled the case.
