The Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are scheduled to take place by the end of this year which has kept political parties on toes for necessary preparations.
It was just after the Union Home Minister Amit Shah publically announced the proposed months for J&K elections, BJP national president J.P Nadda visited Jammu for chairing a high level meeting.
The meeting was earlier said to be focusing of parties internal matter, however, the statements that were shared lateron revealed that upcoming elections remained the center of this meeting.
All this political pursuit has eventually started to propel campaigning process across J&K. The meetings are being held by different political parties on a routine level.
Though the atmosphere is filled with elections fervour but only this time it feels something different is happening. The people are fed up with political mediocrity & the false promises of the political leaders and thus there exists an urge for a positive change.
Furthermore, it is for the first time that many new political parties, local and national, are trying to put forth strong efforts to brace for elections and impress voters with their unique agendas and manifestos.
This is also a reason wherein voters will be interested to experiment & vote for change in order to explore the available options. In addition, the demarcation of Assembly Constituencies across J&K by the Delimitation Commission has extensively reshuffled a plethora of areas.
It has visibly given rise to a critical situation for traditional political leaders whose vote bank was always intact in secure territorial pockets and families. Alas! that’s no more.
The only wait is for the announcement of elections and the people will be then at the helm of affairs voting for their representative of choice.
