Srinagar, May 14: A pregnant woman has been tested positive for coronavirus in north Kashmir’s Handwara on Thursday.
A health official told Kashmir Despatch that the lady from Reshipora village of Qaziabad Handwara has been tested positive. The official said she recently visited Sopore town for a checkup where she had come in close contact with a COVID infected victim. He said the patient has been kept at COVID hospital, while her family has been kept quarantined at Handwara.
With this fresh case the toll of COVID-19 positive cases in Kupwara district rises to 83.
Earlier this day 3 positive cases of COVID-19 were reported from Ramban district.
