Srinagar, June 19 : The Government on Wednesday asked principals of Government Medical Colleges and Director Health Service J&K to ensure the faculty members and consultants of the concerned specialties make an evening round of their respective wards.
“It is impressed upon all the principals of Government Medical Colleges (New/old) and Director Health Service J&K that in order to improve the patient care service in the Government hospitals with the indoor services, the Faculty members/consultants of the concerned specialties shall make an evening round of their respective wards, as per the duty roster. This will result in improvement in the quality of care as well as patient satisfaction,” reads a circular issued by Secretary Health and Medical Education Atal Dulloo, a copy of which lies with news agency.
“The HoDs shall also ensure that a register is maintained in the hospital(s) for the purpose of recording the evening visit of the Faculty members/consultants,” the circular added.
