Srinagar, May 26 : Investigators are investigating the cause of death of a man in Baramulla district on Monday.
Official sources said that the man killed in Baramulla district earlier today apparently did not come under army vehicle after he fell from scooty and sustained head injuries in the unfortunate incident.
They said Abdul Gani, one of two persons on a scooty (JK01T-7661), fell and sustained a head injury after the driver lost control while trying to navigate through an oncoming traffic. Unfortunately, Gani was not wearing a helmet and was taken to GMC Baramulla where he was declared dead, they said.
The other person fled the scene and whereabouts are yet to be ascertained, they said.
Pertinently, police took cognizance of the incident and its proceedings are underway.(GNS).
