Sopore, Jun 28 : Residents of Warpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday staged a protest against water crisis in the area.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said residents of Raj-Mohalla area of Warpora this morning hit the streets to highlight water crisis in the area.
While raising slogans against PHE department for failed to provide water as per schedule in the area the protesting residents blocked Bandipora-Sopore road and demanded redressal of the water problem at earliest in the area.
Meanwhile the protest was ended peacefully and traffic was restored after a team of police assured them that matter will be taken to higher authorities of PHE.
