Sopore, August 21: Scores of people in north Kashmir districts held strong demonstrations against the members of a Hindu extremist group, who made derogatory remarks against the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) in Reasi area of Jammu Division earleir this week.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said the peaceful protest was held after Friday congregational prayers at Arampora Kupwara, Nowpora Jagir Sopore and Palhallan Pattan Baramulla.
As per the reports scores of the people participated in the protest rally, demanding capital punishment for those fanatics of Reasi, who used incendiary remarks against beloved Prophet (PBUH).
The protesters raised slogans against the ‘blasphemous’ remark to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and raised slogans demanding stern punishment to the accused.
The protesters later dispersed peacefully.
Pertinently, Police in Jammu Divison already arrested the main accused and his associate soon after the video containing derogatory remarks against Prophet of Islam (Pbuh) went viral.
