Srinagar, Jan 03 : Intense clashes erupted between government forces and protesters in Gulshanpora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday morning.
Pertinently earlier this day a gunfight raged between militants and forces in the village after a search operation was launched in the area.
Sources said that during initial exchange of fire between militants and forces, scores of youth took to streets and started pelting stones on forces to disrupt their operation and help hiding militants escape.
Clashes were going on when reports last came in.
