Srinagar, April 27 : A militant of south Kashmir’s Pulwama has been arrested by police in Punjab and recovered around Rs 29 lakh from his possession on Sunday.
“The Week” quoted DGP Punjab Dinkar Gupta as saying, the arrested militant has been identified as Hilal Ahamd Wagay a resident of Pulwama was nabbed by Amritsar commissionerate police on Sunday when he was sent by chief of Hibz Mujahideen militant outfit Riyaz Naikoo, to collect money from an unidentified person near the metro mart in Amritsar.
The accused has been booked under sections 10, 11, 13, 17, 18, 20 and 21 of the unlawful activities (Prevention) Amendment Act 2012 at Amritsar Sadar Police Station The Week Reported.
