Rafi Ahmad Mir demands opening of Hazrat Sakhi Zain ud din Wali (RA) Shrine
Srinagar : Former MLA Pahalgam and General Secretary of J&K Apni Party Rafi Ahmad Mir today demanded opening of revered ziyarat sharif of Hazrat Sakhi Zain ud din Wali (RA) Aishmuqam.
He said that it is unfortunate that last week the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir toured Aishmuqam and assured the locals that their sentiments will be honoured and this holy shrine will be opened for the devotees but till date no action in this end has taken place”.
‘I urge the Governor to intervene and issue orders for re-opening of this holy shrine’. Mir said that for months the pandemic has caused uncertainty and distress in people’s lives and affected livelihood of locals, so the opening of this holy Darbar can be an occasion for respite and seeking of blessings and refuge.
Rafi Ahmad Mir said that nothing can be a substitute for physical visit to the holy shrine, the locals of Aishmuqam are very welcoming and they have assured the administration to follow COVID-19 protocols after its re-opening, I hope their sentiments will be honoured and the government will take a favourable decision considering the sanctity of this holy place and the sentiments of the people”.
